How Dental Sealants are Applied

A Dental Focus on Sealants
Dental sealants are applied to decay-free teeth to prevent tooth decay. The process is simple, quick and painless. First, a cleaning solution is applied to the tooth, specifically in the pits and grooves. After 15 seconds, the solution is rinsed away with water and dried completely. Then the sealant material is applied and allowed to harden. Proper application is key in the lifespan of the sealant. After receiving dental sealants you should schedule routine visits so your dentist can check the bond between the sealant and tooth. Consult your dental professional for more information.
