The Best Brushing Techniques
A Dental Focus on Better Brushing |
One effective and easy-to-remember tooth brushing technique involves brushing in a circular motion. Place a toothbrush on your teeth at a forty-five degree angle and brush in a gentle, circular motion. Be sure to brush not only your teeth, but also your gums and tongue. Avoid brushing in a side-to-side or back-and-forth motion, as that causes gum recession and root exposure that leads to other problems. There are a few other ways to brush. Your dentist can suggest the best technique for your personal best oral health.
