Brushing Up at the Office
A Dental Focus on Better Brushing |
Meals and snacks throughout the workday can increase the likelihood of tooth decay and gum disease. The sugars and starches in the food we consume during the day cause an acid to form in our mouth. That acid attacks the enamel on our teeth and should be brushed away after meals and snacks. This makes workday brushing even more important. Keeping a toothbrush at the office is a great idea for a mid-day brush. Be sure to keep it in a travel case and dry it after each use. For other proper brushing techniques and guidelines, consult your dental professional.
